Tai Chi is mostly practiced for its health benefits world wide. It is a series of specific slow motion, continuous movements that leads to improved balance, blood circulation, breathing timed with movement and improved fine motor control among many other benefits. For more health benefits info go to websites such as medicinenet.com or MayoClinic.com.
Anyone can do Tai Chi and it is especially beneficial for seniors (improves balance), people with chronic conditions such as Fibromyalgia, cancer and Parkinson's to name a few.
Qigong is the art of breathing and consists of a set of slow movement exercises which helps to regulate the breath. The movements are slow, relaxed and often repeated to help train the mind to control the breath with a specific movement. (Great for athletes!).
